Hair cut time again...

This time was more for Avyree since last time I couldn't handle cutting off too much. But she badly needed a cut. So off we went...

Haylee reading to Avyree while we waited...

Playing to pass the time...

This is the first time Avyree had her hair washed there! She LOVED it...
The water was tickling her head...

Even a 4 year old can appreciate how relaxing it is to have someone else wash your hair...
Haylee taking her turn...
Here is Avyree's before & after. We cut a good amount off! Sniff sniff...
And Haylee's before & after. Haylee had her hair cut in Sept so we didn't take too much off this time but she did get the top cut a little shorter for a little style. She loves it...
And their reward...a sucker!
Thanks for looking! :)

Flowers & textures...

So while taking my 365 shot today I took a few others. Like I said in the previous post, I'm taking my time and allowing my creative side in editing to come out a bit more. So I edited and textured the rest of the flower photos, and did some cropping too which I don't do enough of. And I wanted to share them...

365 8-14...

Happy Friday! Today I only have my 365 shots. I've dropped the ball on the other two 52 challenges. But I'm enjoying the 365 so much that I don't miss doing the others. Since I'm a story telling photographer I tend to shoot a lot of frames. And what I'm finding through the 365 shots is that I normally hurry through my edits because I have so many to edit. But the 365 has really slowed me down and allowed me to really take my time when editing and allowing me to be more creative! It's much easier to edit 5 shots vs 50! Lol!

So here are my 365 shots for this week...

LOVE my Stewart!

Hope you have a great weekend!

A walk, a camera and a 4 year old...

It was an absolutely beautiful morning today! The kind of morning that makes me thankful I live here! Avyree and I walked Haylee to school and I had to bring my camera to take some pictures for the yearbook. So I kept it out on the walk home. The sun was already a bit harsh at 9am, but I did the best I could with the light I had. I used to go for walks all the time with my camera when I was first learning. I don't do it often anymore and need to start again! It's very calming and freeing! So here are the keepers from the morning...

Thanks for looking & I hope you have a great weekend! :)

365 3-7 & 52 projects...

Hi everyone...well the few of you that actually check out my blog! :) I've decided that I will post my 365 photos & my 52 week photos every Friday! I've done well so far and the completed my first week of 365...happily! :) Hopefully I'll be able to keep it going. I have enjoyed it more than I thought I would. Not posting them everyday I think has helped take the pressure off!

Anyway...onto my photos...

This one is my favorite for the week...

This one being my second favorite...

MCP Week 3 ... Shades of Gray. I yet again struggled with this one. So it's nothing exciting. I'm not great at taking a theme and executing it! But at least I did it...

I do not have a CM Macro 52 shot this week because they at some point changed the theme and I didn't know until the day I went to shoot "wood". They changed it to "marbles" which I do not have. Not enough time to go get them since I just found out yesterday & I don't want marbles in my house anyway! Lol! So I'll have to skip this weeks Macro 52 Project!

I hope everyone has a BEAUTIFUL weekend! :)

Nugget at the library...

I realized today that I've never taken pictures at the library! So today I got Nugget out of the house while Haylee was at school and headed to our local library! We had a great time and I thought I'd share the pictures with you fine people! :)

The kids section...

Loving the Caillou book...

Just some details...

Expressions...

So many to choose from...

I love this shot & conversion for some reason...

Silly girl...

Her favorite books are the touch & feel books...

Hey Nugget, that page doesn't open...it's called a board book... :)

Dora among her favorites of course...

She informed me that only the "big girl" princess' got to wear these shoes....

Globe that was breaking and standing on it's last leg...

Well hello BEAUTIFUL America & sunny So Cal...

They have a bunch of stuffed animals on the padded benches for the kids to play with. I will say it's time many of them were replaced. I know now where we will be donating the girls older stuffed animals...

This set is my favorite from the day! Busy reading & relaxing. Can you tell I have a thing for shooting feet/shoes and I'm not even a shoe person! I like to shoot hands too...

Engrossed in the story...

See....I told you...

She has wonderful, long and fairly thick/dark eye lashes for a blue eyed blond...

Not sure why I posted this shot. The ceiling is quite pretty but the shot doesn't move me in any way! Oh well, must not let it go to waste...

And that was our trip to the library today! Thanks, as always, for stoppin by! Hope you and your families are well in the New Year!
