365 57-70...

Hi all...well the couple of people who ACTUALLY come to my blog! Lol! I missed my 365 post on Friday because I was helping my best friend move. Then Saturday I was helping Haylee with her Mission report. Then we had some drinks Saturday night by the fire pit while watching UFC. Well, we stayed up REALLY late. Much later than we've stayed up in a loooong time. So Sunday was spent on the couch! Come Monday...SICK...through to Wednesday! Thursday was my first time out of bed! So I just decided to do one post for the two weeks worth.

Here is last week...

While working on Haylee's Mission project, we took a junk food lunch break...

And after two days...we were FINALLY done with the build...

One of my favorite shows and one of my favorite seasons...

Went shopping and bought some yummy fruit...

My birthday flowers...

This is California for you...

A tall weed in my front yard...

The second week...

Our fire pit...

More rain...

Too tired to get on the computer so playing catch up on my phone...

Flu time for me...

Almost a week since it was turned on...

Playing with my neglected Macro lens..

Cold & cloudy outside so a yummy warm lunch for me...

And that was my last two weeks. Besides Haylee's Mission project & report, it was pretty quiet. Hope everyone has a great weekend! :)

Haylee's Mission project...

4th grade and the Mission project! What a pain! Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy projects. But this one was a LOT of work! I will admit I was a bit overwhelmed in the beginning. But after a talk with my dear friend {Rachael}, she brought me back down to Earth and got me focused on the whole point of the project. Then we were able to enjoy it! I will say after it was all done, I think we did a great job and I had a BLAST taking pictures of the process!

So here we go...

The before...

Wow...that is a lot of little pieces to glue together...

My girl ready to go {with blue marker on her forehead}...

Time for some glue...

Making progress...

My girl in action...

Okay...looking good...

Now time for the details...the FUN part...

Doves and a garden...

Shallow DOF and toggling AF points....it doesn't get better than that...

The cute little animals in the Pasture Land...

Haylee put the male Indian by the back door to protect the Church...

The extra labels required by the teacher...

And the completed Mission...

And for fun...the before and after...

All in all, after the stress passed, we had a great time and spent some really good quality time together! And created a cool Mission! Thanks for looking. This weekend...the report! And I thought the building part was the stressful part! :)

So glad to have my camera back...

I was completely impressed with Canon's speed in returning my camera. I did not expect it back until Tues or Wed the following week but it arrived Wednesday of this week! I didn't even know it was on it's way back when I heard FedEx outside!

So of course I took it outside when the sun was going down to play a bit! Haylee was sick in bed so only Avyree today!

Dirty face + skirt as a dress + Nugget = Photo op!!!!!

Yes...her dress is in actuality...a skirt! And that is a Ladybug smashed between her fingers {not loving my edits on this set}...

Uh oh...she dropped it! Phew...she found it...

This is the ONLY shot I got of the actual Ladybug because she was so scared it would fly away that she wouldn't let go of it...

Uh oh...she dropped it again! Poor Ladybug...

Believe it or not, the Ladybug is actually between her fingers....AND...still alive...

Oh my goodness...she is too stinkin cute for her own good...

The more of a mess she is, the cuter she gets...

Channeling Lilyblue...

Close up. Look...you can actually see the poor Ladybug trying to get out of her death grip...

And my F.A.V.O.R.I.T.E of the day! Another shot that reminds me of LB. I love every.single.thing about this photo...

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend! And no hate mail from the snow peeps! Ha! :)

365 50-56 and some good news...

Well this week has been good and bad. Bad is that Haylee has had the flu and missed the entire week of school. The GOOD news is that I got my camera back on Wednesday! That was a total surprise! I had already taken my 365 shot with my cell phone that day so I didn't start with my camera until Thursday!

Here's what I got this week...

This came in the mail from Costco! I guess everyone is shooting weddings now...

I LOVE Pitbulls so Eric got me this from the swap meet! I just wish the Pit's ears weren't cropped...

Avyree's crayons...

She loves apples but apparently not when she's sick...

My lifeline...

And WOHOO...my camera is BACK BABY! What better way to try to cheer up your sick kid than with a game of Uno! It worked and I won! No mercy in this house...

Sigh! Flu...you can GO AWAY now...

It feels so good to have my camera back! I took some shots of Avyree playing outside the day I got it. So I'll post those next!

HAPPY FRIDAY!

365 43-49 & some sad news...

Well sad in the photography sense. My camera broke & is in the shop! Nothing major luckily! The Classic 5D has a mirror recall. Basically the mirror falls off! And it happened toward the end of a bridal shower shoot I was doing! Ouch! Luckily I only had a half an hour left. But it was heart breaking. Any other time would have been fine! But in the end the bride to be was so very gracious and I offered to make her a free album to make up for the last half an hour! I second shot a wedding the night before the bridal shower and thankfully it didn't happen then! So the first two shots are with my beloved camera and the rest are from my cell phone! YIKES! Ha! It's okay though. I will say I've been enjoying the challenge of trying to get fun interesting shots with my cell phone and I've been having fun funking them up in PS!

These are flowers Avyree picked for me outside before I left to shoot the wedding...

Center piece at the bridal shower...
My poor baby... {first of the cell phone pics}...

Editing to do from the wedding & bridal shower...

Eggs with chopped up bacon...

My friend's camera that I had to borrow to finish up the yearbook shooting {all of my friends that have DSLR's have Nikon. I'm the only Canon shooter lol}...

Nugget with her pretty fake nails on. Want to make your little girl gleam with excitement? Buy them a set of fake nails. Just be prepared for them to fall off every 5 minutes...

So that was my week! I'll be sad without my camera but thankfully I have TONS of editing to keep my busy!

Have a great weekend everyone! :)
