Nugget home sick...

Monday night Nugget came down with a fever of 103.2!  So she stayed home yesterday and when the fever medicine brought down her fever, we colored for a little bit.

She's still home today. The fever is gone but her sinus are a mess and has what I call the raspy cough!  We are chillin and relaxin today.  Hope you are all doing well & thanks for stopping by!

Mc Donald's & park fun...

The weather was beautiful on Sunday so we headed out for some lunch and outside play!  Here are my shots...

Yummy...

My sweet lil Nugget enjoying her lunch...

My big beautiful girl enjoying hers...

Don't let her looks fool you...she's a stinker...

Now at the park.  The girls, as usual, on the swings.  It's their favorite thing to do at the park...

My purty truck...

I don't know why I took this. Someone left this book on the bench and I just had to get a picture of it...

Rose enjoying the beautiful So Cal winter weather...

Nugget on the move as usual...

They love to swing with their eyes closed...

A few rare moments of sister bonding...

My big girl...

My blonde beauties...

I love this picture of Haylee...

The ice cream truck came by and Avyree got a Popsicle...

And Haylee got Takis of course...

While we were there my friend (since we were 8) mom & kids came to the park too.  So the girls got to play with Gwen...

Nugget swinging with Gwen...

I don't think I'll ever get over how big she is getting.  She's almost as tall as me.  I guess that's probably not saying much other than Haylee just turned 10 in Nov...

And there is my friends mom with one of her foster girls!  This woman is so strong. She has battled three different types of cancer on two occasions and had a bone marrow transplant.  And she still lives life with joy and love.  Maybe even more so now than before.  Rachael (my friend, her daughter) were very close growing up (and still are) and her mom was like a mom to me. I love and adore here and respect her so much. She's one of the kindest and most caring woman I know...

And that's it for our day out on a beautiful February afternoon. It's been a while since I took my camera out and just shot my storytelling stuff for my family. It felt great!

Hope everyone is well!

Tooth fairy change...

There will be a change in how the Tooth Fairy takes teeth and delivers money...at the Ziggy house! The Tooth Fairy is VERY tired of having to tip toe in late at night and dig under the pillow while trying not to wake the child!  So my very crafty friend Dolores made this for Avyree to hang on the outside of her bedroom door to make life easier on the Tooth Fairy since she's starting all over!

How cute is it and how lucky am I to have such a crafty friend!  This in trade for pictures of her products! I'd say that's a pretty awesome trade...

Memorial tattoo #1 for my grandma...

I wrote about my grandma. I always have a hard to describing how much I truly love her and what she meant to me my whole life!  I'm lost that she is gone and still haven't let it in completely!  Going up to Idaho this summer will be the hardest trip of my life!

I have two ugly tattoos on my back that I got too young and have wanted to cover up for a long time.  So this is the perfect opportunity to cover them up and honor my grandma.  I never truly understood memorial tattoos before.  I never really understood how they helped people, but I also never really lost anyone!  Now I know!

The big back piece will be my true tribute to her.  I'm getting french flowers to cover up the bottom tattoo that will represent where she came from.  I'm getting a butterfly flying away over the tattoo on my right shoulder blade to represent her flying away.  I'm going to have the saying "Who I am is because of you, My Grandma, My Person" worked into the tattoo and it will be done in French.  It will look like this... "Qui je suis est grace a toi, ma mamie, ma personne"

In the meantime I wanted to get her name tattooed on the inside of my wrist.  Real simple & clean so that I could always see her name with everything I do.  I went a little bigger with some swirls that will match my back tattoo!  And now I truly know why people get them and how much the truly help your heart heal!  Every time I look down and see my arm I'm filled with memories of her. I'm filled with love and happiness and feel like she's closer to me!  I'm so glad I got it where I did instead of in the back tattoo or the back of my neck.  It helped me even more than I thought it would!

So here it is! The swirls will fade as it heals so they are a soft gray and not competing with her name.  This is a self portrait at the park while holding my big heavy camera, shooting at 1.8 with one hand and using BBF.  Not an easy task and I didn't think it would turn out!  I was happy it did...

Thank yoiu for looking and reading (if you did) and I'll post pictures of the big tattoo as I get it.  It will still be a month or two and will take at least two sittings to get it all done!  I can't wait for the tattoo but I can wait for the pain.   This wrist tattoo is my fifth and this one killed me. So either the wrist area is sensitive or I'm getting wimpy in my old age!

Jacuzzi fun...

Our friend Bryan GAVE us his jacuzzi!  Yeah, we are pretty lucky.  And the girls were very excited to try it out...

I think the husband and the girls will get a lot or use out of it!

100 day of school project...

I can't believe Avyree is already doing this project.  Seems like I just did it for Haylee!  Avyree has the same teacher Haylee had, so it was fun to be able to do it again!  Here are the pictures from her doing her project...

Thanks for looking...

Camping in the desert part 2...

Here is the last collage.  Haylee finally tried riding two wheels.  She's almost as tall as me so fits well on my bike. Daddy helped her get the feel for it while trying the clutch/gas combo.  She did pretty well.  Bryan later helped her and had he try on her own.  She did pretty well with the clutch/gas part but wasn't paying attention to balance.  She went down a couple times (after going about a foot...lol) and the last time fell on the gas/brake lever and that was it...she was done! Lol! But I was so proud of her for trying...

Thanks again for looking...

Camping in the desert...

We headed out to the desert for some camping and riding over President's Day weekend.  With all of the lives lost in the two weeks before, we all really needed this.  To be outside with no internet connection and just be out in nature...it was wonderful.  There is nothing better than hearing dirt bikes, quads & sand rails riding around and having fun!  So here are my shots...

I was riding and Eric (who rides very very well) came up behind me and I got all nervous, hit my front brake a little two hard on a sandy turn and went down.  He laughed of course...

Silly Nugget & pretty Lily...

Our good friends Bryan & Darlene...

Eric getting Avyree all geared up...

Kalea ready to ride...

Bryan's fake fire...

Nugget riding by with the brake on...sigh...

Our friends...

Dar & Kalea chatting.  I love one of the dogs looking out the window...

Love these moments...

Dar's nephew was bullied by several people and sadly took his own life at 15! The family is heartbroken and our hearts are so sad for them.  Drew always wanted to go riding so Dar put his memorial card on her bike so he could finally go riding...

Haylee & Daddy riding around...

Nugget's quad...

Detail...

Eric on my bike...

Avyree waiting to ride...

I have one more picture but messed up on my coding and to add it would have to start over.  So I'm going to be lazy and attach the one collage on the next post!

Thanks for looking...this is what we needed to find some peace in our hearts...
