Nugget had her first project for Kinder.  She had to make a doll of herself.  We had so much fun doing this and she did great!

Thanks for looking and I will do my best to post every Thursday. I've got a lot going on so I may be posting just a tiny bit less than usual. I have a girl I'm starting to edit for, my dear friend & fellow photog is going to have a bunch of editing for me, I'm shooting an event next Saturday AND the school yearbook starts soon! Phew...lol! But I vowed to myself that I wouldn't let any other editing, shooting jobs or the yearbook stop me from shooting my normal amount! So I'm still following my heart there...just not sure I'll have the time to post everything!

And for my photographer friends, check out my PS for FUN blog! I'm on my way to post a great visual example of the difference between editing in 8bit vs 16bit! You will be a 16bit believer after you see it! :)

1st day of school....Kinder & 5th grade...

Wow! I cannot get over how fast the last five years have flown by! Haylee's first five years went at a nice pace. Then I had Nugget, Haylee started Kinder and now...fast forward to five years later and Haylee is in her LAST year of Elementary school and Avyree is just starting! And...I'm thirty five! UGH...when did THAT happen! Lol!

Both the girls were so excited to start school. Both were nervous but ready! They were dressed and ready an hour before we had to leave! Lol!

Haylee with two of her friends! I wish the other two were in the shot but I had to head over to the Kinder playground for Avyree to line up so I missed SO many fun girly shots with her friends which makes me a little sad. But I had to go be with Nugget on her first day...

Then it was time for me to go home....ALONE! I cleaned, did laundry, edited these pictures and even had an hour to read before I had to pick up the girls. It was GLORIOUS!

Last park trip before school starts...

for BOTH the girls! So we headed to the park to meet a friend and her kids! Both our little ones started Kinder this year and are in the same class. And our older girls are also in the same class in 5th grade. So we wanted to let them play together before school started. I didn't take many pictures because I don't like shooting at this park. But here are the shots I took. I was lazy again and just loaded my Facebook resized shots...

Back to school haircuts...

It's that time! The girls start school on the 7th so I took them in for their haircuts. My friend owns a salon and I've been helping her with photography since she recently got her very first Nikon DSLR. When I inquired about her prices for the girls she told me she would be happy to cut their hair and put in some feathers for free as a thank you! I got all weepy and said yes! Ha! I help truly because I love too! It brings me joy to help others. I remember how hard and overwhelming learning is in the beginning! I never want anything back. But when Leanne offered I was so thankful and I took her up on it, especially after spending $3000 on our cat. I didn't take many shots nor any detail shots, and her salon is beautiful. I regret it a bit but they were super busy, so I just took a couple snaps of the girls!

And happy happy day...Thor is home where he belongs. As soon as he started feeling better he started freaking out and was getting really stressed. Poor kitty hasn't left the house in over three years and then is put through this. So he wouldn't eat and his fever was starting to come back slightly. The vet said he thought it was probably stress and wanted to see how he would do at home. And sure enough...he was right. Thor is happy as can be, relaxed, eating and everything! Yay...
