Shakey's and good light...
We headed out to go have some pizza for lunch and the light was so beautiful inside which made me very happy. I looked around before we sat down to find the best light and am so happy I did.
All were shot with my Classic 5D & my 35L! All color images were edited with Michelle Kane's Bland to Brilliant at 100% opacity no adjustments made and my free MZ XP Soft at 50-75% opacity no other adjustments made. Some I used MK's Bring on the Bokeh and I used her See things Clearer on all images, inverted mask and painted only on their faces, group opacity 35-50%. All BW's were edited with Lilyblue's Just BW from her new Simple Set! I am SO IN LOVE with that action!
I love the pictures from today so I did less collages and more single images because the light was so beautiful, I wanted to do it justice!

My girls are a treat to watch eat..ha...
So we are eating and all of a sudden Avyree looks up and says... "Mommy, that looks like a butt!"! And if anyone knows Avyree, she is VERY loud! I about died but then looked up and it DID look like a butt. Then of course after I stopped laughing I had to take a picture to tell the story...
I love that you can see the soda in the straw. I'm weird like that...
So this is the point in the day where Nugget realizes that "Shakey's" doesn't have actual shakes. Apparently that is why she was so excited to come. She was very sad for a while...
Haylee had pizza & soda, so she was fine that they didn't have shakes...
Haylee cannot eat without getting sauce all over her face! She had no idea it was there either! Like mom like daughter...
They went into the bathroom to apply lipstick. Ya know, a girls' gotta reapply it after eating! Then they had a sweet moment and because they are rare, I snapped quick before it was over. Avyree is getting sick and wasn't feeling all that well! And I've found I like when she's sick because she's much more calm and loving. Is it bad that I admitted that...ha...
So Nugget gets going in Nugget style! I think the lipstick gave her her mojo! I'm not sure what this face is since it looks like she ate something hot or spicy, which she didn't.

And she can go from happy to this in a second FLAT! You can see that she's not feeling well because her normally big eyes are droopy. I love this one two...
And this one...makes me so happy...
Oh how I love her and her crazy...
I think this is the best shot I've ever gotten of the two of them. Isn't the light gorgeous! This will be hung up for sure...
And it's time to go and take home yummy left overs...

all of these pics are so awesome!! Did you have to use a flash at all? They look so natural! I'm trying to teach myself a little at a time, so I love to look at blogs like yours to get ideas.. and yours is the best one i've seen! Loving your light! :) :)
Hi Susan...thank you SO much for your kind words! You made my morning! :) These were all shot with natural light. There was a large window camera left that gave great catch lights, side lighting and when I wanted more flat light I just had them face the window a tiny bit! I actually scanned the place before we sat down to find the seats with the best lighting! Lol! I try to do that whenever we go out to eat and I bring my camera. If we are being seated and I don't like where they seat us I'll ask them if I can sit where the good light is..ha! Thanks again for checking out my blog! :)

Thank you so much. The Bland to Brilliant did all the contrast, brightness etc and the MZ XP Soft gave it the soft pastel haze lift that they needed all while retaining the detail & sharpness I work so hard to get! Ha!

Haha...thank you Karli. I see myself much different. Mom with a camera who sits in her pj's all day playing in PS....ha! But thank you! Truly I meant what I said to. My heart soared as I looked at those. Not only where they gorgoues, they made me FEEL and THAT to me is what's it's all about. A pretty image is nice, but an image that moves the heart, soul or mind, to me is the winner. I actually tried to comment on other posts but couldn't find the leave a comment button on the futher down posts! You have a great eye and I love your lifestyle way of capturing life. You strive to capture your life the way I do....WHO our children are...good bad and all the in between with as much beauty as we can! :)
