I'm AAAAALIIIIIIVEEEEEE!!!!!

Hi all...or those of you who are left!  :)  I think this is officially the longest I've gone without posting on my blog.

I've been shooting and posting on Facebook but not on here!  I got a little behind and got a little overwhelemed.  The more behind I got the more overwhelmed I got and then it was just too much.  But I can't "not" post them.  With the exception of the one Valentine's Day post, I haven't posted any of my pictures since January...and there are a LOT from January to now.

So I figured out a solution.  I loaded ALL of my images from January to July in one album for those who want to see them.  There are a lot but the girls have a grown a lot (Haylee is taller than me now) and lots of our summer activities, including a week at the lake.  We took a second week trip to another lake but I didn't take pictures there as the colors are so drab and icky!

SO...that puts me almost up to date!  AND...I have some BIG news!!!!!!!!!!  But you'll have to wait for the next post to find out what it is!  :)

Phew...even though I know it's not the best way to share my recent pictures, it's better than not sharing them at all.  Thanks to those of you who look and I will be keeping up to date so that I never get behind like this again. I MISS blogging and I miss the good quality here vs the crappy quality on Facebook!  The girls go back to school on the 13th so I'll FINALLY have some time to myself again to keep up on my blog!

Okay...I decided to share my BIG NEWS with a crappy cell phone cell phone picture...




YEP...you're NOT seeing things...I upgraded to the Canon 5D Mark III and OMG...no words for how amazing this camera is, what a HUGE upgrade it is from my Canon Classic 5D and how utterly happy I am with it!  The ISO upgrade is INSANE and I LOVE how it handles the grain.  The new AF system is HEAVEN.  I was worried it would be too many AF points to toggle since I toggle every.single picture I take.  But nope, Canon worked it so well that it makes it super easy and super fast to toggle a single AF point.  I have to toggle a single point vs zones because I shoot with such large apertures.  My focus has to be spot on or the picture has to go in the trash bin!  The FPS are crazy fast for a full frame sensor with so many MPs. I like that I can record my images on a CF card & a SD card as backup.  The shutter is MUCH quieter than my classic and they changed the handle a bit so it feels SO much better in my hands.  I can grip it so much better now which is great since I do not use a camera strap. And the battery grip is amazing!  So...there are no words that will ever describe how over the moon I am about this camera.  I've been shooting with the Classic 5D for 3 years and this was SO worth the wait!

So after this post, ALL pictures will be from my new baby.  I'm editing some pictures from a pool/water park type place I took the girls the day after I got it!  Yay!
